Kadhal - padam kirukkal

Edu unmaisambavathai Atharamaikonda uruva-ekkapatta Thiraikadhai………..??????????
A note found in the beginning of movie ..Is it? Or It is………... still a ???
Kadhal ! A movie which touched top rank in most magazines and special surprise is this movie has scored half century by ananda vikatan a most popular magazine read buy Our peoples………

Kadhal is a short simple tale, with evenly simple narrative style .Good choice of all peoples who all acted in this movie with looks resembling peoples at the next-door including leading duo. Though actress did bit over acting while conveying her dialogs but Still better than others……..
Highly natural background scenes , peoples of next door looks, some well coordinated performances make for some fairly engaging viewing in ‘Kadhal’. No doubt there are some flaws, and some lagging moments in the movie , where the director falters a little and tends to lose his grip on the narration. The closing scene is a bit overdone too, though one can understand the director’s enthusiasm to depict the characters in a positive, unselfish light.

But it’s the little touches of humour, particularly in the first half with that small boy..great effort that boy did..a very very ordinary dialog release by the boy which u can find with all children who pushed to promote child labour notion at madurai, .this keeps the narration moving at an engaging pace, and somewhere the film does manage to touch a chord in viewers heart.

The story centers on Aishwarya, ora chinna ponna studing in a high secondary school , and Murugan, a brash outspoken mechanic. She’s the teaser who takes the first step, and he, a bit reluctant initially, soon plunges into it with all the ardour of typical first love scenes publicized in movies.
The scenes at the mechanic shed where the duo meet are handled well but still cannot take in. Though Aish friend’s dialog are worth to enjoy but still………

The very next scene when both met with accident n our great heroin is still laughing after the accident…too much flaws in that picture… while seen as a viewer but not as director as this panorama had VIEWDED.... VIEWING ..n will VIEW in our gone/upcoming Indian movies..
Spectator at madurai may get a doubt while watching the snip of the movie where road before the school is focused n shown as free flowing , clean road..the fact is that street is a path which is loaded with heavy traffic from the start to end of day with mostly in blocked condition..

In the movie it is shown st joseph schools uniform with green stripes but the uniform is somewhat like light blue checked..
Changes are possible....??? ..Uniforms at schools are changing as a inclined graph moving swiftly up with time and all sort of checked n striped combination are used for school uniform ….reducing normal person casual wear combination..

Grandma n mother’s watching tv scenes natural fantastic…. can say an exact snip from real life..

Sathya( Aish friend in movie) n small boy acted excellent..

When Aishwarya’s marriage to another person is finalised, the duo decide to elope. Their struggle for survival, their tying the knot, and the efforts of the girl’s family to separate them forms the rest of the plot. The scene where the girl’s uncle cajoles them back home with promises of a reconciliation is an impressively handled scene.

Joshva Sridhar’s musical score fits in well with the youthful love story.

For ‘Boys’ Bharat, this is his first solo lead role, and he’s done a creditable job, his expressions spontaneous and natural. Sandhya is a very promising find, going through the various nuances of her role with commendable ease. The unusual casting of the supporting artistes too catches our eye, with Dandapani as the girl's father, S K Murthy as the girl's uncle, and Arun Kumar as the cheeky mechanic boy lending weight to their roles.Though its director Shanker’s home production, the film doesn’t have any of the gloss or hi-tech narrative style one would tend to associate with a Shanker film. And that probably is its strong point!

It would have been better if instead of introducing Aishwarya as school gal director would have introduced as college gal..but how long the director would focus on college.. The spectator wants some change n director is giving change by changing college to school..next change would be school to kindergarten..then …………………….... Hence can expect for such movies may be already has come with too less amplification..

Anbu ,kadhal, love ( though not tamil word but incuded into it as momentarily ),………………Now tamil literatures got a new trade to find some more synonyms for the word “kadhal” so that directors can use in their upcoming movie….
As far as I can recollect list goes as follows with many leftouts…

Kadhal ,Kadhal Azhivathillai ,Kadhal Desam ,Kadhal Dot Com ,Kadhal Kavidhai ,Kadhal Kirukkan ,Kadhal Kondaen ,Kadhal Kottai ,Kadhal Mannan ,Kadhal Oviyam ,Kadhal Parisu ,Kadhal Sadugudu ,Kadhal Samrajyam Kadhal Solla Vandhen ,Kadhal Sugamanadhu ,Kadhal Virus ,Kadhala Kadhala ,Kadhalan ,Kadhalar Dhinam Kadhale Swasam ,Kadhalukku Mariyadhai

Kadhal is a movie giving highly negative impact to school children who are already disturbed seeing the upcoming n gone movies with highly unfeasible closing scene . Movie is focusing aggressive behaviour of a particular community and contributing his great effort to ignite the fires without knowing that it is already burning with full flame..which most of our tamil cinema does like virumandi also did..
Should not forgot to thank director for his live cast of madurai and making the viewers to feel as a excursion was scheduled to madurai.
Kadhal worth to be seen many times if wanna to watch madurai view though story is same decades old one with some new feathers..great acting indeed…

Hey Hema, u know something....I never spend time on movies...atleast after coming here.Reading movie reviews???...noway..have never done that all my life. But jus b'coz this onez based on Madurai...I read ur full review. Actually this movie left me with a nasty feeling...may b b'coz of the fact its based on a real story...in madurai....that too happened in the place where v used to wait for the bus (Golden Plaza opp to St.Joseph). But still....as Im longing to hear some tamil voice here...the typical "marudha" slang made me to feel at home...esply...words like "jari"..."tharusaiyiruva"...etc... and the "age attaining song". Ouch....gotta run to work....
