Freedom in the wild or living in security??
Two weeks before some of my friends planed for a day out...It happned that I was not able to join them ..as a normal practice they uploaded the photos taken on proposed day and floated to all in the group. As being member of the group could get the photo link...
Being weekend now and in my database no new movies to watch ...was feeling bit bore hence thought to have look to the photo link send by them ... in addition to that some other animated forwards which I would maintain for such instances and use eventually …yet I have not referred where they planned for outing ..yes they planned to visit one of the recreation park here...soon after the thought browsed my Inbox got the link mail and with a click to the link started to look after the photos…photos were good..by seeing the photo could guess they njoyed lot..after few more clicks saw a photo which made me to write this…can you guess what that snap might be.. mm it was a photo of a deer behind the bars …soon after seeing the photo the word which hit my mind was FREEDOM..will the deer not be longing for freedom?????
As humans we can imagine what is wrong about withholding freedom from other people… When a child is born.. birth is the first step on the way to freedom… His/her upbringing would hopefully prepare him/her to function freely as an adult later in life....
Human Freedom !!.. is a means and an end to a meaningful life of an animal….. the respectable name given for that is ZOO.. …
The place where animals are discarded from their freedom.... , zoos are cruel because the animals freedom is restricted…. Another argument against zoos is that they take many animals away from their natural habitat but, as many zoo animals were born in captivity, they do not suffer as they have never known their natural habitat….
We normaly hear about zoo in tv channels or can read articles in paper, net etc..once I heard in tv one zoo person said: " Animals are better off in zoos than there natural habitat..
We want people to go away inspired and having had some real connection with the natural world." … where visitors can check out birds and reptiles as well….
so the cost of for human being awareness is animals freedom?//
Also heard from another zoo spokesman his statements were like ..animals in zoos are much better off, healthier and live longer than animals in the wild… In the wild, carnivores live off herbivores…. All animals are very vulnerable when newly born and unable to run away to safety with their parents or herds... Predators who live by hunting often go without food for many days and some die of hunger or thirst…This does not happen in zoos. Animals are provided with food of their liking at fixed hours in their enclosures as guests in a hotel get room service…. Neither they nor their young are at the mercy of predators….
I consider there is not much difference between animal and humans ..we are also animals …. We differ from other species of life in as much as we can think better because we have bigger brains and can convert our thoughts into speech…. And we talk a lot of the virtues of freedom to live as we like and say what comes to our minds…. Our mottos are” freedom or nothing"…"give me liberty or death” and some other noble-sounding sentiments….then y not animals..it is because they can’t speak ..??
Ok let us take a case where some person provided with an well off facility ..say the person is XX( so called later)....ok let it be like well-kept jails. There XX don’t have to worry about where the next meal will come from; it is provided free of charge . XX don’t have to worry about the property or business or about murders or robberies. Support for suitable clothing is available , given time to take exercise and after doing chores assigned to XX ,he is free to socialise with other inmates, play games or read books. In case if XX fall sick, there is a doctor at his back a call to the prison hospital .. XX back to good health. Medical services and medicines are also free. So in this case wil XX be happy to choose this life..as the basic need for human is food,cloth ..more than the basic need is provided to him in the jail….so . Which world would XX choose? And why?
In Zoo visitors have a fascination with throwing stones, nails and other objects at the animals, poke them with sticks, tease them, feed them cigarettes and anything they can find.
I remember somewhere I read Humans are cruel and ruthless.. "The wildest character on earth is the human being. If you want to see civilization, go to the jungle..
So if given the choice of living in freedom in the wild or living in security provided by zoos .. which one would any animal prefer???????
