Chandramukhi....
The movie chandramukhi is far different n better from Rajani’s Previous venture Baba.. good to watch. In this film, Rajini has attempted to break his image and tried to do a regular stuff,He has applied some logic in the film but for few instances. But those instances were much bearable. May be the film would have been much better if he could have avoided such instances for example... while having a fight with a dump guy the iron rod will rotate it self vertically in the air for almost 30-40 secs until Rajini could adjust his hair....... making the words super star appear in the sky through kites etc…Reading others mind( tooo irrational ) ..
Comedy by vadivelu and Rajini is good to some extend... P.Vasu’s has loosed the string of the story in the end by bringing in a priest to take control chandramukhi. Though bringing priest by Nasser & co seems to be logical, the final dialogues of Rajini to the priest that he should take care of chandramukhi is highly irrational after he himself saying that it is the split personality characteristics of ganga (joytika) from her child hood. It wud have been better if he has not involved the priest in the last scene to tackle chandramukhi... though the priest did nothing but to make her sit in the middle of the kolam and to answer his question such as will she be calmed down after killing the vettai raja...that would have done by any one instead of bringing priest into scene…
Few instances, which were to be serious in the story made the audience laugh... the make of Rajini into vettai raja was horrible and the unbearable sound by him "laka laka laka laka laka laka laka laka laka laka laka laka" was height of stupidity to show the arrogance in the character of vettai raja.
There is a huge supporting cast of about a dozen people who have nothing to do except be in the frame. And why were Akhilandeswari Amma (Sheela) and her body guard a part of the cast? All the characters Nassar, Vijaykumar, Avinash are used to deliver dialogues praising the greatness and goodness of Saravanan’s character that is glorified to the hilt!
Nayanthara is as beauty her name is... she dint had much presence in the movie except two songs and few instances... the director want to show her that she too acted in the film... so he gave some stammering effect when she delivered dialogues in the scenes in which she was depicted in high temper or highly frightened....
Joytika has done well in fact till last quarter hour of the film no would appreciate her presence in the film at all but in the last quarter of the film.... Her facial expressions are too dramatic and sometimes she goes overboard by rolling her eye balls whenever she had the split personality of chandramukhi.Everybody would carry only her character and vadivelus comedy in mind after the movie . Rajani has not much to do in movie..if any other hero acted in his place it would be same..Vadivelu comedy is mosty with his voice modulation annoying at instances…
Prabhu.... though the character was important in the story, he dint had much to deliver... the opportunity to exhibit his talent was nil
All the characters Nassar, Vijaykumar, Avinash are used to deliver dialogues praising the greatness and goodness of Saravanan’s character that is glorified to the hilt!
Both being veterans.... again had nil space to exhibit their talents.
Unlike the normal rumors which came about the make up of Rajini.... it was not too bad... the amount of make up to show him young was exact...it was nothing more nothing less....
Music was good. The song “RAA RAA n Athimtom ….was good”..The song shot at turkey is melodious..that can even be shot in India ..The location can even be found in India itself.. Also the songs were inserted in the film haphazardly without any proper link.... the song thevuda..thevuda... conveys the importance of washer man, farmer, sewage cleaners.... etc..But why was it told at that point of the film...no one knows.... the song was good...but lost its importance, as there was no link in the film to the song...
The height of absurdity in characterization of Rajini and joytika, the mistake done by director could be very much seen in the way he depicted his interests.... the hero would wish to come in bullock cart which depicts the rural life.... would always wear a jean jacket...thigh tight jean.... cooling glass with beautiful Nike.,sports shoe... or highly embroider...pyjama and jibba...
When Joytika is affected by spilt personality..she starts to convey dialogs in Telugu ...the point to be noted..at instances it is shown that jyotika did’nt rem what all happens when she get into the skin of Chandramukhi..but again in movie it is said she attempts to kill prabhu..
How cum she rem senthil (prabhu) as her husband when she is affected by spilt personality..
Things which are difficult to digest are..Joytika classteacher remember’s her after so many years..She lifts the barma Taek old traditional cot by one hand ..which can only be lifted by min 4 to 6 persons..
The story is not clear..its bit confusing..director could’nt frame the story with spilt personality properly . He could tried in better in other way…
The movie will be a hit commercially. Would have brought a line of hope among his fans. Better he avoids love interests and duets at this age and do some mature characters such done by amitab. If films like batsha, annamalai were to be given 75% marks... we can award 25% to chandramukhi where I would rate 1% to baba. A cognizable improvement..

Rajni-The highest paid Indian actor?
Chandramukhi has made its hero Rajnikanth the highest paid actor in India! He is reported to have received 50 percent of the gross sale from the film, roughly about 15 Crore ($3 Million)!
Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi is rumoured to be getting Rs 10 Crore as remuneration while the ‘numero uno’ of Bollywood Sharukh Khan demands and gets Rs 5 Crore for a film.
Economists and trade analysts are throwing up their hand and asking the valid question – How is it possible for an actor to get so much money from Tamil film market which is so limited? The answer is there for everyone to see.
Rajnikanth’s citadel in Tamilnadu is the NSC (North Arcot, South Arcot, Chengalpetu)- Chennai city area comprising Chennai city to Ulundurpet in South and Tirupathur in South West. This area is one-fourth the size of Mumbai territory for Bollywood films in comparison.
Sharukh Khan’s Main Hoon Na was sold for Mumbai territory for a record Rs 3.5 Crore to Ashta Vinayak films while Rajnikanth’s Chandramukhi got nearly Rs 6 Crore as Minimum Guarantee (MG) from theatres in NSC, city area alone!
In Bollywood, there is no hero worship like in Tamilnadu. A new release of Rajnikanth in Tamilnadu for the ordinary people is like an assembly election for viewers that happen once in a blue moon. People go to the theatres religiously to watch his films just like casting votes and affirming their faith in the superstar.

The 90/10 principle......
Good one can have a look at this....................
Have you read this before? Discover the 90/10 Principle. It will change your
life (at least the way you react to situations).
What is this principle? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90%
of life is decided by how you react. What does this mean? We really have no
control over 10% of what happens to us.
We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving,
which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We
have no control over this 10%.
The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%. How?
By your reaction! You cannot control a red light, but you can control your
reaction to it. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.
Let's use an example. You are eating breakfast with your family. Your
daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no
control over what just what happened. What happens next will be determined
by how you react? You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking
the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your
spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the
table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your
shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to
finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your spouse
must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter
to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph
speed limit. After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you
arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying
goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot
your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to
get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home. When you arrive home,
you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.
Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning! Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?
The answer is D. You had no control over what happened with the coffee.
How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.
Here is what could have and should have happened.
Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say,
"It's ok honey, you just need, to be more careful next time". Grabbing a
towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you
come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting
on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully
greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good a day you are having.
Notice the difference? Two different scenarios! Both started the same.
Both ended different. Why? Because of how you REACTED! You really do not
have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by
your reaction.
Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle:
If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the
attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative
comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong
reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out
etc.
How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your
temper? Pound on the steering wheel?
Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them?
WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin
your drive?
Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.
You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will
work out.
Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job.
The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take
out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what
is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why
get stressed out? It will just make things worse.
Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the
results. You will lose nothing if you try it.
The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle.
The result? Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials,
problems and heartache. There never seem to be a success in life. Bad days
follow bad days. Terrible things seem to be constantly happening. There is
constant stress, lack of joy, and broken relationships.
Worry consumes time. Anger breaks friendships and life seems dreary and is
not enjoyed to the fullest. Friends are lost.
Life is a bore and often seems cruel. Does this describe you? If so, do not
be discouraged. You can be different!
Understand and apply the 90/10 principle. It will change your life.
